Dr. Donika Yakoub

MMASc, MD, CCFP

Dr. Donika Yakoub earned her undergraduate degree in Behaviour, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Windsor before completing a Master's degree in Global Health Systems in Africa at the University of Western Ontario. She then obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, followed by Family Medicine residency training through McMaster University in Burlington, Ontario.

Throughout her medical training, Dr. Yakoub developed a strong interest in dermatology and has pursued extensive additional education in both medical and procedural dermatology. She has completed numerous courses, attended conferences, and undertaken elective training alongside experienced community dermatologists. In addition, she has undergone courses with Dermoscopy Canada in order to gain skills using a diagnostic tool that enhances the evaluation of pigmented lesions and skin cancers.

Dr. Yakoub is passionate about the connection between healthy skin and overall well-being, and she enjoys helping patients manage a wide range of skin conditions.

Dr. Yakoub is currently a member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada and is completing a Professional Diploma in Dermatology through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. She is working toward a Focused Practice Designation in Skin Disorders to further advance her expertise in comprehensive dermatologic care.
